Welcome to the Devon Woodturners & Carvers Club. We are an Affiliated Member Club of the AWGB (Association of Woodturners of Great Britain).
Our membership is made up of a combination of Woodturners and Wood Carvers. The wide range of our member's woodworking interests are reflected through the variety of wood forms and grain patterns in the work that they produce. Members are encouraged to bring examples of their work to club meetings for discussion.
Our members are conscious of the need for rainforest and other forms of conservation and whenever possible, use wood from sustainable sources.
Our regular meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 7 to 9 pm, with the occasional full day demonstration (see the Calendar tab above). The club meets at The Village Hall, Rattery, near Totnes, where we either have a demonstration by a well known Woodturner or an informal inhouse workshop.
Membership costs just £36 per year, which gives you access to the Club's monthly meeting for just £3 per month.
Anyone who is interested, or think that they may be interested, in woodturning are most welcomed to come along to our monthly meetings to see what we're all about. Our visitors fee is £6 per session.
